Japanese Furisode Kimono

japanese furisode kimono
Question: Where can you buy a japanese kimono/furisode from that ships to australia?

How much for a full set furisode (with obi and all the other acceorsories/undergarments)? In japanese yena nd australian dollar? and where can you buy them from online?

Answer: A furisode with obi (you need a fukuro or maru obi), appropriate obi age and obi jime, a juban, tabi, and zori is very expensive. Even if you buy everything second-hand, you should expect to pay several hundred dollars for the set. If you buy it new, expect to pay several THOUSAND dollars for the set.

Look for second-hand items on Ichiroya, Yamatoku, Kimono Lily, and Ryu Japan. You can also try eBay or Yahoo Japan Auctions, but I don't recommend either of those unless you know enough about kimono to separate the junk from the good items and can tell when prices are reasonable. Also, if you shop on Yahoo Japan Auctions, you will need to use a shopping service like Celga.

If you want a new set, look on Rakuten's international section.
