Geta is Japanese wooden sandals. Japanese wooden geta sandals are worn with kimonos in place of tabi socks and zori sandals.

Japanese geta shoes are raised wooden sandals with straps for wear with casual kimono or the yukata.
What are Asian geta sandals made of?
Asian geta sandals are made of woods such as paulownia, cedar, cypress, chestnut and oak.
Some Japanese geta sandals are naturally finished paulownia, others are painted white. Tabi socks are not worn with Japanese geta sandals. The straps are velveteen or leather.

Geta sandals for rainwear have a covering over the toes and straps made of vinyl.
