Question: Japanese shops in Tennessee?
I'm moving back to Tennessee in about a month(where I was born) and I really love Japanese culture. Are there any Japanese shops anywhere in tennessee? I'm not talking about food(though that would be a plus too
) I mean hair accessories, obi, kimono, etc. Though it doesn't have to be Japanese. Chinese, Korean....Thank you
Answer: I doubt it. Physical shops selling kimono are really difficult to find in the USA. You'll probably have to shop online. Places like Ichiroya, Yamatoku, Kimono Lily, and Ryu Japan are good for second-hand kimono, while Kimono Market Sakura and Rakuten are good for new items. you can get kanzashi on Rakuten, eBay, Maya Kanzashi, and sometimes they pop up on Ichiroya and the other places as well.
Not sure about where to buy Chinese or Korean things, but be aware that you're probably not going to find kimono on a site specializing in Chinese or Korean clothes any more than you're going to find hanbok or hanfu on a Japanese specialty site.

Question: Where can i be able to find nice asian clothing?
If any one can send me website adresses or name of stores, if its possible in new york; that have qipao dresses, kimonos , harajuku inspired clothing and such will be very helpful or anything that involves asian inspired clothing since its for a special occasion that i am looking forward to.
The person will automatically be winner to this question if they can give me a website that sell high school asian school girl outfits.
In advance : supashi-bo ;p
Answer: J-list/J-box usually sells Japanese high school uniforms, but I can't remember if they're a regular feature or if they only come out at certain times of the year.
You need to be a bit more specific about what kind of "Harajuku inspired" clothing you want, since many of the styles have their own shops. For example, you can buy Lolita clothing from the Japanese brands (e.g. Angelic Pretty, Baby the Stars Shine Bright) or from non-Japanese brands (e.g. Anna House, In The Starlight), but you're probably not going to find clothes appropriate for many of the gyaru or ganguro styles there.
For kimono, if you want something at all authentic, try Ichiroya, Yamatoku, Kimono Lily, Ryu Japan, Kimono Market Sakura, Bokunan-do, Jshoppers.com, or the international shopping section of Rakuten.
Not too sure where you could get authentic qipao, since that's not my focus, but if you know enough about the style to tell the real thing from fakes you can always try your luck on eBay.
