Suo Kimono and Daimon Kimono
Both the suo kimono and daimon kimono were nearly identical to the hitatare kimono. The main difference was in the kind of material used. Instead of the silk of the hitatare kimono, these garments were made of less expensive linen and the cord at the neck was leather rather than braided cloth.

Daimon Kimono
The daimon kimono also bore five family crests (kamon): two at the shoulders in front, two on the sleeves and one at the neck in back. This reflected the importance the daimyo attached to close-knit family organization. The kamon style later spread to merchants, artisans and many other people and has come down to the present day.
