Question: What are the kimono-like shirts called?

I'm trying to get one of these shirts for my girlfriend, but I'm not sure what they're called. They look as if their of Chinese origin, kinda like a kimono dress bit it's designed like a sleeveless shirt. I guess one popular design is a red fabric with the gold trim on it.

Uhm... one instance I can think of someone having it is in the Simpsons when they go to China? ^^" Ms. Woo is wearing it? Other than that, I can't think of what to say about it... Sorry if I'm being to vague!
