Japanese Obi
The Japanese Obi refers to several different types of sashes worn with the Japanese kimono and keikogi by both men and women. The Japanese obi textiles are very varied from woven obi and dye obi to obi of different colors. Japanese obi comes in different widths and there are hundreds of ways to tie a Japanese obi.
There are Japanese obi without any pattern and there are fully patterned obi from end to end as well as obi with some pattern on but not fully. The patterned area of the Japanese obi is placed in the front part that is tied into a bow in back.
The pictures below are the three types of Japanese obi:

the fully patterned Japanese obi (Maru Obi)
The Maru Obi has 100% pattern on. This type of Japanese obi is divided into two sections called:
the Tesaki or taresake (short or trail section which can be either end) the Oridashi sen or the Edge of woven section

the 60% patterned double fold Japanese obi (Fukuro Obi). and
This Japanese obi has the short section, waist or front section, the patterned section and the end of the woven section.

Yukata
What is Japanese Yukata?
The Japanese yukata is an unlined cotton kimono. Traditional Japanese yukata robe was put on after coming out of a hot steaming bath. Nowadays, Japanese yukata is worn during the summer months particularly at the celebration of festivals.

Color of yukata kimono
Japanese yukata kimono designs give an impression of coolness and informality. Navy blue color on a white base or white color on a navy blue base are often seen. For young people, colorful yukata kimonos are common.
Under kimono for Yukata
Unlike other kimonos, the full length under kimono is not worn with the Japanese yukata kimono. Most of the time, the underwear under the Japanese yukata robe is made of cotton crepe.
The obi and geta sandals worn with Yukata kimono
The obi worn with Yukata kimono may be the Nagoya obi or the half width obi. Wooden geta sandals are worn instead of the tabi socks and zori sandals.
