Kimonos Silk

Question: what kind of glue should i use to stick silk on paper?
i got these little cutouts made of kimono fabric. its not really as fine as silk, it has more texture. i want to glue it on paper to make a collage but i dont know what glue to use to prevent ruining the fabric. help
?!
Answer: Hi,
It should be a non acid glue.
I really don't know about the silk, but when dealing with paper the proper glue is wheat starch (available from Frametek) or you can make it yourself. Or you can try a good quality PVA glue which is also non acid (usually used in book binding and framing works on paper).
However if you wish to remove the silk later on, maybe you should try 3M's spray remount or photoremount.
The mount version is permanent while the remount permits to remove. I suppose that the adhesive is acid free.
