Free Kimono Pattern Sewing

Question: Some free beginner patterns for a kimono set?

I'm just starting sewing and I would like my first project to be a kimono set. I've always wanted one but they're a bit expensive and I cant always find the colors I want.
I understand that the basic set includes:

Kimono Jacket
Nagajuban
Obi
Geta (I have these)

but if I'm missing some parts or I am incorrect please tell me...

I would really appreciate your help :)

Answer: Try Kimono de Cheap. I know they have a juban and they probably have a basic kimono too.

That said...

How much do you know about kimono? You should be aware that there are many different types of kimono (though they are all based on the same basic pattern) that vary according to factors like season, the formality of the event the kimono is being worn to, and (for women's kimono) the age and marital status of the person wearing it. Obi vary in a similar way. You can't just take any old kimono and any old obi and put them together for a proper ensemble. And if you're making your own, you should be aware that most of the fabrics available in a typical Western fabric store -- especially the "Asian" brocades -- are not acceptable for kimono. Before you jump into a project I suggest that you spend some time reading through the links in the kitsuke section of the Immortal Geisha forums for more information on kimono-wearing rules and on making kimono.
