Kimono Party Dress

Question: Japanese/ Rave Sweet Sixteen HELP!?
So, within the next 2 months I need to plan my sweet sixteen,
And I need help finding a catering company that does japanese or chinese food, or any kind of oriental food besides just sushi.
Also I need to find a place that sells Swt. 16 dresses in Long Island
and no kimonos !!
And any places that will make do as a party place for the party itself in Long Island, nothing far from Islip, Brentwood or BayShore.
Answer: Well, i recently did the same catering for a party. I stuck a deal with my favorite sushi spot. All you have to do is talk to them about your food budget and let them offer what they can give you. Compare it with different sushi place or chinese food that you like. let them list in detail on the item that they gonna provide for the budget and compare to the menu price.I learn that sometime you can get a value deal compare with order a la carte.Since most of the restaurant like guarantee income for big order rather than have no sales. Some also provide free appetizer ,soup and salad or might serve it in a large bamboo boat.Hope this help.

Japanese Kimono Shoes

Question: Where can you get a good pair of Geta shoes?
I'm pretty sure the correct word is Geta, the wooden shoes worn with kimonos by the Japanese. What are some good sites that sell some and maybe other Japanese things for a reasonable price?
Answer: Geta are not worn with all kinds of kimono, only with yukata and MAYBE with komon (informal kimono). If you want the proper footwear for kimono, you want zori. You can usually get them on eBay. Places like Ichiroya, Yamatoku, Kimono Lily, and Ryu Japan sometimes sell zori or geta in their accessories sections. Kimono Market Sakura has a selection of geta. Bokunan-do probably has some geta and zori, but I can't remember. If you don't mind getting into international shipping, the international section of Rakuten probably sells geta and zori as well.
